April Newsletter
"How's the school going?" It's a question we hear a lot! With Lent underway and Spring blooming all around us, our inaugural school year has entered its final quarter. We are pleased to report that our students are thriving and that teachers and parents are seeing amazing developments in them. We want more area youth to experience this life-changing education and are busy recruiting students and teachers for next year! We're also working hard towards our funding goal and meeting with community members who feel called to support our mission. More to follow, but first...
G.K. Chesterton Quote of the Month:
“Nothing taken for granted; everything received with gratitude; everything passed on with grace.”
Hikari Calderon with Dr. Bond and board members at Incarnation.
Connecting With the Community
Sophomore Hikari Calderon recently spoke after each Mass at Church of the Incarnation to share how CASJE is impacting her life. CASJE also welcomed Knights of Columbus members Bob Maher (Council 11475, Assembly 2518) and Victor Villar (Council 11324), who presented the school with a U.S. flag. Many thanks to Incarnation and to the Knights for their support!

Chesterton Academy Welcomes Linda Kenny
We are thrilled to announce our office manager, Linda Kenny. Linda is a parishioner at Sts. Peter and Paul in Palmyra, Virginia. Prior to CASJE, she was a school speech-language pathologist and has also managed her own practice. Linda will keep our school site running and help with initiatives to advance CASJE's continued growth and success.
CASJE to Award $5,000 Tuition Credit to Essay Winner
Do you know a student who would benefit from a rich academic and faith formation in a joyfully Catholic environment? Be sure to tell them about our essay competition for a $5,000 tuition credit. We are also accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year. Shadow days and tours are available!
Seeking Exceptional Teachers
Chesterton Academy is looking for an additional full-time teacher (or two part-time teachers) with a strong background in the liberal arts who can teach mathematics and/or science. View and share the job posting.
Upcoming Events
April 6 at St. Thomas: CASJE will host an information table after the morning Masses at St. Thomas Aquinas University Parish.
April 12 at CASJE: Essay Competition
Summer 2025: Learning opportunities at CASJE to be announced!
Sports at CASJE: Taekwondo & Ultimate Frisbee
As our enrollment increases, we're excited to begin expanding our sports program. The students have progressed tremendously in Taekwondo, recently earning their orange belts. We are seeking to start an Ultimate Frisbee team. To do that, we'll need a few more players, so we're opening it to students in grades 8-12 from other schools and homeschool. This is a fun way for students to preview our school culture. Contact us if interested!
Thank you for your continued support and prayers. You are helping make this high school with a higher purpose possible!
